The designer will marry his longtime partner Lance LePere in New York.Project Runway judge Michael Kors and his partner Lance LePere picked up a marriage license in NYC on Wednesday.
"Lance and I are very excited to finally be able to have the opportunity to marry in our home state after many years together," the designer says in a statement to UsMagazine.com. New York legalized same sex marriage in June.
Don't expect a big wedding blowout.
"We have no plans for a major party," Kors says. "But we will be getting married privately."
Season 9 of Project Runway premiered last month.
