The designer, who committed suicide last year, left the same amount to his nieces and nephews. Designer Alexander McQueen left £50,000 -- or about $82,000 -- to each of his three dogs, Minter, Juice and Callum, according to the BBC.
He donated £100,000 (about $164,000) to four charities: the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, The Blue Cross animal welfare charity, London Buddhist Centre and the Terrence Higgins Trust.

Battersea Dogs and Cats Home manager Spencer Wisdom called the gift "a lovely surprise [from] a devoted animal lover."
A few years ago, he told Arena Homme+ magazine: “My dogs are the only thing in the world I really trust.”

McQueen, whose fortune was worth £16m, or about $26 million, also left the same amount to his two housekeepers, Cesar and Marlene Garcia, for their "long and faithful service" (Garcia discovered his body in February 2010), and his nieces and nephews.
His two brothers, three sisters and his god son each received £250,000, or about $410,000.
The remainder of his estate in a trust for the Sarabande charity, which makes grants to people and organizations in need. He asked his trustees to consider donating it to his alma mater, Central St. Martin's College of Art and Design in London.
