George Michael Reveals Split From Longtime Partner on Opening Night of Tour

George Michael revealed Monday that he has split from his longtime partner, Kenny Goss, during the opening night of his Symphonica tour.

The singer told the crowd at the Prague State Opera House that "Kenny and I haven't been together for two and a half years," the Associated Press reported.

The breakup came partly because of the fallout related to Goss' struggle with alcohol addiction.

During his performance, Michael decided a new song titled "Where I Hope You Are" to Goss.

"My love life has been a lot more turbulent than I've let on," Michael said. "This man has brought me a lot of joy and a lot of pain."

Michael had previously denied rumors that he and Goss had split but said Monday: "It's time to be honest."

During opening night of his tour, Michael also honored singer Amy Winehouse, who died last month. He said she is the only British artist to have left him in awe during his 30-year musical career.
