Mel Gibson has reached a settlement in his 2-year-old divorce case with his longtime wife, Robyn, Reuters reported.

Attorneys told a Los Angeles judge that a settlement had been reached Tuesday that involves property they shared, but further details weren't released.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge is expected to finalize the divorce in August, Robyn Gibson's attorney Laura Wasser said during the hearing.

But lately he's become known more for his scandals than his career. He and Robyn separated only days after Gibson's notorious 2006 arrest for drunk driving when he launched an anti-Semitic tirade.
In March, he pleaded no contest to a battery charge stemming from a 2010 altercation with former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva and was sentenced to three years probation as well as domestic violence and mental health counseling.

He most recently appeared on the big screen in the Jodie Foster-directed The Beaver, which cost $20 million to produce but grossed less than $1 million at the domestic box office.
Gibson has seven children with Robyn and a 20-month-old daughter with Grigorieva.
