Katharine Hepburn's childhood home is on the market for $18 million. The six bedroom, 7.5 bath property sits on Long Island sound in Connecticut and has a private dock and beach.
The Philadelphia Story and Lion in Winter actress grew up in the house, which was built by her family in 1913 in the Fenwick borough of Old Saybrook, notes the real estate blog Zillow. The house was destroyed in a hurricane in 1938 but was rebuilt.

Hepburn died at the estate at the age of 96 in 2003.
The property was purchased in 2004 by construction CEO Frank Sciame and his wife Barbara, who split it into three lots. The parcel with the Hepburn home is selling for $18 million but Sotheby's International Realty is also offering the entire spread for $28 million.
The Hepburn house is being billed as a "completely renovated, 8300 sq. ft house" with "pond opposite side securing privacy. Golf, tennis, boating. Stunning views from this crown jewel!"
